PowerPoint to PDF

Turn any PowerPoint deck into a clean PDF where each slide becomes its own page. The conversion runs entirely on our server—upload your PPTX, and we do the rest. No software to install, no settings to fiddle with.

03 / HOW TO CONVERT PPT

How to convert PPTX to PDF

Select your PowerPoint file (PPTX only, up to 50 MB and 500 slides) and click the button. The upload takes a few moments, then you'll see the status change from uploading to queued to running, with a percentage as the job progresses. When the PDF is ready, it downloads automatically.

04 / WHAT HAPPENS TO YO

What happens to your file

Your uploaded file is scanned for malware before any processing begins—an infected file never reaches the conversion engine. We also check the file's actual content, not just its name, so a renamed file that isn't really a PPTX is rejected instantly.

The conversion itself is handled by LibreOffice, running headless on our servers. It opens your presentation and exports it to PDF, the same way you would by opening the file and printing to PDF. That means what you see in the original is what you get in the output—one slide becomes exactly one page.

05 / WHAT THIS CONVERTE

What this converter doesn't do

Because a PDF is a static format, anything that depends on motion or time is lost. Speaker notes, transitions, and animations are not carried over—there's nowhere in a PDF to store them. If you need those elements, this tool isn't for you.

Also, if your presentation uses fonts that aren't available on our server, they'll be substituted with similar ones. This can occasionally cause text to shift within a box, potentially altering the visual layout. You'll receive a warning when this happens, so you can review the result and decide if it's acceptable.

06 / SECURITY AND PRIVA

Security and privacy

We take file security seriously. Every upload is scanned for malware before it gets processed, and the file type is verified by its actual bytes—not just the extension. This prevents malicious files from reaching our conversion engine.

Your file is stored in private object storage and automatically deleted after 1 hour if you're using the service anonymously, or after 7 days if you're signed in. You can convert with confidence knowing your content isn't retained indefinitely.

07 / TROUBLESHOOTING AN

Troubleshooting and warnings

If something goes wrong during conversion, we catch it before you download: the generated PDF is re-opened and parsed to ensure it's valid. If it isn't, the job fails rather than handing you a broken file.

The only warning you might see is FONTS_SUBSTITUTED, which means we had to replace missing fonts with alternatives, potentially affecting text wrapping. If you see this, double-check the PDF for any text that looks out of place, and consider using a standard font like Arial or Times New Roman in your original deck to avoid the issue.

FAQ

Common questions

Will my PowerPoint animations or transitions be in the PDF?

No. PDF files are static, so animations, transitions, and speaker notes are not included. Only the slide content itself—text, images, shapes—is preserved in a one-slide-per-page PDF.

Are there any limits on file size or number of slides?

Yes, the maximum file size is 50 MB and the maximum number of slides is 500. If your file exceeds these limits, the tool will not accept it.

Why does my PDF look different from the PowerPoint?

This can happen if your presentation uses fonts that aren't available on our server. We substitute similar fonts, which may shift text and alter line breaks. You'll get a warning if this occurs. Also, since the PDF is a snapshot, any interactive elements won't appear.

Is my PowerPoint file kept after conversion?

No. If you use the tool anonymously, your file is deleted after 1 hour. If you're signed in, it's kept for 7 days, then removed. Your privacy is protected.

Can I convert a .pptx file with videos or audio?

You can upload such files, but any embedded media will not play in the PDF. Only static slide content is exported. Videos and audio are not embedded in the PDF output.

What should I do if I get a font substitution warning?

Check the PDF carefully for any text that appears clipped or repositioned. If the layout is unacceptable, consider replacing the fonts in your PowerPoint with more common ones like Arial or Times New Roman, then convert again.
