File deletion and retention
What is stored, for how long, and every way to remove it sooner.

Browser tools store nothing
A local tool never transmits your document. The working copy lives in the tab and is discarded when you close it. There is nothing to delete because there was never a copy on our side.
Server tools
Uploads, results and working copies are removed automatically: after 1 hour without an account, and after 7 days for work owned by an account. A scheduled sweep performs the deletion; it does not wait for a request.
You can remove a job and its files immediately: cancel or delete it from the tool, or delete the whole account. Cancelling a running job also deletes what it had already stored.
Closing an account
Deleting your account from the account page removes the account row, its sessions, its saved workflows and every document still stored for it, in that operation. It is immediate and cannot be undone.
What survives
Operational logs keep the job identifier, the operation, the status and an error code, with no file name, no document content and no network address. They are what lets us investigate an outage or an abuse pattern.
