How to Watermark a PDF
Select a PDF file (up to 50 MB and 500 pages). Then choose the image you want to use as the watermark – a logo, signature, or any other picture. Set the opacity (from 0.05 to 0.9) and the scale (from 0.05 to 1 of the page width). Use the tiling switch to either place the image once in the center of each page or tile it across the entire page.
There are no other settings. The watermark is applied with a fixed diagonal tilt, matching the text watermark tool. You cannot adjust the angle, and you cannot click on the page to position the image manually.

What Happens to Your File
The entire process runs inside your browser tab using PDF code. No file is uploaded, so nothing is stored on any server. If you close the tab, the working copy is discarded – your document and your watermark image never leave your device.
This also means you don't have to worry about privacy or retention – there's nothing to retain. The only copy that exists is the one in your hands.

Limits and What to Expect
Your PDF must be no larger than 50 MB and no longer than 500 pages. These checks happen in your browser before any processing begins, so you'll know right away if your file is too big or too long.
The watermark is placed on a fixed diagonal – you cannot make it horizontal or change the tilt. If you need a straight watermark, this tool won't do it. Also, the tool doesn't show a progress percentage – it just works, and you'll see the result when it's done.

If the Result Looks Wrong
If the watermark is too faint or too prominent, adjust the opacity (0.05 to 0.9) and scale (0.05 to 1 of page width) and run the tool again. If the image appears only once when you wanted it tiled, make sure the tiling switch is on. If the watermark seems oddly tilted, remember that's the fixed diagonal – it can't be changed.
If your file is rejected, it's likely due to the size or page limit. Check that your PDF is under 50 MB and has no more than 500 pages.

About the PDF Format
This tool works with one PDF file at a time. It uses PDF code running inside your browser to apply the watermark. The output is a PDF, so compatibility should be high – any viewer that can open the original will open the watermarked version.

Will the watermark reduce the quality of my PDF?
The tool processes the PDF without re-encoding the original content. The watermark image is applied on top of each page. The visual quality of the watermark itself depends on the resolution of the image you choose – a higher-resolution image will look crisper.
Can I watermark multiple PDFs at once?
No, this tool accepts one PDF file at a time. If you have multiple files, you'll need to run them one by one.
Can I put the watermark in a specific spot, like the bottom right?
No. The image is either centered once per page or tiled across the page. There is no way to drag it to a custom position, and no angle control – the tilt is fixed at a diagonal.
What if my PDF is larger than 50 MB?
The tool checks the file size in your browser and won't process files over 50 MB. You'll need to reduce the file size or split the PDF into smaller parts.
Does the tool show a progress bar?
No progress percentage is shown while the tool works. It runs in your browser tab, and you'll see the watermarked PDF when processing is finished.
Is my document safe from being seen by others?
Yes. The tool runs entirely inside your browser tab. Your file is never uploaded, so no server ever sees it, and nothing is stored. Closing the tab discards the working copy.
Can I use a PNG with transparent background for the watermark?
Yes, you can use any image file. If the watermark image has transparency, the background will remain transparent, allowing the PDF content to show through where the image is transparent.
